The Start of Another Intriguing Emi Takei Drama

Emi Takei in Iki Mo Dekini Natsu
Continuing on with my ongoing obsession with aweseome actress Emi Takei, the current drama on my plate is the human drama “Iki mo Dekinai Natsu”, a story of a young girl named Rei who finds out that due to circumstances when she was born, has been living a life undocumented on Japan Records, therefore turning her former happy life into a perpetual nonexistent entity.
Rei has lived her life with this information hidden from her by her Mother and Grandmother, but when she innocently applies for an ID at the Court House, she is informed by worker Kiyama (Eguchi  Yosuke) that there are no records of her birth at all. This turns her life upside down, and seeing how traumatized she has become, Kiyama (who has a few secrets of his own) slowly feels compelled to reach out to her.
Carefree first meeting: Eguchi as Kiyama and Takei Emi as Rei
Kiyama later informing the girl of the shocking news
A girl whose life has been pulled from her
At this point there are so many sub-plots and shady characters and I’m not really sure where this drama’s going to go, but the scenes with Eguchi Yosuke and Emi Takei are SO GOOD that that ALONE makes the show worth watching. These are two dynamic actors and when they’re bouncing dialog off each other, it’s sheer poetry! I’m definitely tuning into this one!
PS: In a more light-hearted side note, Emi's character's name is Rei, and everytime someone calls her that, I expect her to turn around and exclaim, "No, it's pronounced "Urara!" LOL
