| Kitagawa Keiko as Sasaki Rena in Tantei No Tantei |
The dark Kitagawa Keiko Crime drama Tantei No Tantei: Detective vs. Detectives, tells the tale of a woman named Rena Sasaki who heads a department of a P.I. Firm called the "Versus Detectives" Division, whose only objective is to investigate other detectives who are involved in shady dealings.
We find that when Sasaki was younger, her sister was being stalked and tried to go into hiding - until a Private Investigator helped the stalker find her...which resulted in her murder. Since then Rena has become a cold and joyless person, whose sole desire is to fetter out all corrupt investigators and have them punished.
The drama is one of a highly technical nature, very much in the vein of "Hanzawa Naoki", with so much "legalese" in all the scenes that I had to re-watch almost all of them twice to understand what was going on! Thankfully, there is an equal amount of kick-butt action in it- really quite brutal and bloody- (in fact, I should say that so far, Tantei No Tantei seems more like I'm watching a movie than a television drama- very gritty) and of course, Keiko looks absolutely GORGEOUS in it.

Funny, I JUST finished watching the Juri Ueno revenge Drama "Alice No Toge", and right away it looks like I've now got a NEW drama of the same nature to take its place! With so much technical dialog in it, I hope the Subbing Team can continue doing it, because I'm really intrigued by this one- Mysterious Story, well-developed Characters, and my GOSH, is Keiko the COOLEST actress out there or WHAT!!!!
