A Caseworker’s Diary

Riho Yoshioka stars as Emiru Yoshitsune, a young girl who dreams of becoming  a movie driector, but with her lack of talent has ended up as a case worker assigned to the Public Asssistance division.

Along with Emiru she is accompanied by China Kurihashi (Rina Kawaei),

Ryuichi Shichijo (Yuuki Yamada),

Miyako Momohama (Kyoka Minakami)

and Daimon Goto (Ryo Kozono).

The greenhorns are ushered in and mentored by their superiors, the stern Daiki Kyogoku (Kei Tanaka) and the affable and gentle Handa Akinobu (Iura Arata) and begin the tiresome task of analyzing each person’s case to determine the best plan for them. 

 

 

It is tedious work and Emiru finds it boring and aggravating. But when one of her cases commits suicided, her world is shaken and it is a more serious and focused girl who comes out. With her mentors she tries her best to do what’s right.

 

 

Hmmm, after watching the first episode of Kenko de Bunkatekina Saiteigendo no Seikatsu , I have to say that while I love Riho Yoshioka and the rest of the cast... this kind of drama isn’t really up my alley. I'm not a fan of dramas where the whole episode is filled with townspeople complaining and yelling at the main character, and she gets berated by her superiors for "not understanding" the situation...

I will watch a few more to see if it grabs me, but so far it's like HOPE without the compelling characters or "Napoleon No Mura" without the fun and good feelings, LOL!
