Koi wa Tsuzuku yo Dokomade Mo 終わり

Though it was as predictable as could be, drama Koi wa Tsuzuku yo Dokomade Mo had a certain charm to it and I ended up enjoying it quite a bit! Of course, most of the charm comes from actress Mone Kamishiraishi, whose portrayal of naive sweetie Nanase Sakura was off-the-charts adorable, and it was her that made all the scenes ‘work’ for me!
She really gave off the feeling of a girl falling in love for the first time, and her adoration and ‘clinging” behavior towards her beloved Sensei reined me of those old John Hughes movies where they really got the feeling of first love just right…I mean, look at this screen-grab of Nanase having a meal with Dr. Tendo. You can feel every ounce of her adoration for him in this shot, really takes me back to those days of  high-school romance….
There was another bonus to the show- You know how dramas have been making exclusive spin-off segments to their shows (like nata No Ban Desu and Grand Maison Tokyo, where they had these 10 minute clips featuring characters from the show in a side-story feature after the official episode had ended….
Well, THIS drama had the same thing, a little show called "Mada Mada Koi wa Tsuzuku yo Dokomade mo", featuring characters interacting with a wacky ‘love god” (Mario Kuroba) who gives them advice to help their various relationship problems…
Unlike the official show, this was just for fun, very wacky and zany, but for secondary characters like Ai Yoshikawa’s Yuika Sakai who barely had screen time in the official show, we got to see a little bit more of her personality watching her interact with the so-called Love God, LOL!
Fun times and a nice little show overall!
