40 Man tells the tale of an astronaut named Soichi Takamura who takes a mission out in space, only to discover that, when he reconciles with his ex-girlfriend Sakiko (Mugi Kadowaki) via monitor, he creates a veritable love triangle between him, his wife..and Yuri, the A.I. that has been with him aboard the ship!
Always liked Chiba Yudai since his Ie Uru Onna days and And man, when I found out the voice of the jealous AI was going to be played by none-other than Riho Yoshioka (!!!), I just HAD to check it out!!! Sadly, no one had bothered to pick it up, and I ended up forcing myself to watch it untranslated!
Ooohhh my aching head...As i mentioned before, whenever I try to watch a drama unsubbed it frustrates me to no end trying to keep up with it, and BOY, 40-Man Kiro Kanata No Koi is SO dialog heavy it was making my head swim! I was hoping a light comedy farce which would be easy to follow, but in fact, there is almost NO ACTION at ALL, the ENTIRE drama is people sitting and talking, musing and reflecting...
Won't somebody PLEASE pick this one up?
PS: WOW, Mugi Kadowaki is looking prettier and prettier each time I see her! Who'd have ever thought that mousey girl in Omukae Death would turn out to be such a stunner?
