Haruka as the innocent and naive Sakura Tsukishita in Shoujiki Fudousan is hands down the CUTEST character of the season!!!
...and her take as the struggling but sincere Ayumi Mugita in Imadoki No Wakai Monwa is a fast second!!!
MAN, How did this girl turn into such an adorable powerhouse in so short a time???
As some may remember, it was her role in the terrific “Unlucky Girl” that first made me fall in love with Haruka- her turn as the titular and woefully unfortunate girl Sachi was both so wacky, sweet and purehearted that she instantly became a “gal to look out for”!
I thought this was the first drama I’d really seen her in, but looking back, she’d already made her mark on me in earlier shows like “Uchi no Musume wa Kareshi ga Dekinai” as Minami Hamabe’s sassy friend Saori…
…and a fun, quirky role in the Tsubasa Honda con drama “Cheat: Sagishi no Minasan, Gochui Kudasai” which ended up being a dud, but did show off Haruka’s disarmingly sweet skills early on!
She;'s been in the biz since she was a kid!! Aww…look at how little she was then!
Looking over her dramawiki stats, it seems I’ve been seeing Haruka in bit parts for awhile in various roles, like in Rental no Kyuseishu...
...a bit part as a hapless victim in Mikaiketsu no Onna Keishichou Monjo Sousakan...
Then "Coffee and Vanilla" which, okay, I didn't like this as much as everyone else did, but MY was Haruka cute in it!
...the recent "You Who Came From the Stars"...
…and WOW, I was stunned to find I'd seen her as far back as 2007, when a 10 year old Haruka appeared in “Tsubasa no Oreta Tenshitachi 2” as a young Rosa Kato!
Well, it is now 2022, Haruka's now a grown woman, and I believe her acting flag is flying FULL right now!!!
I for one am completely on board to see where she goes next!
