Kasumi Arimura: Shoes, Shoes, Shoes

 I’ll say one thing I’ve noticed while enjoying Ishiko To Haneo- Kasumi Arimura’s character of Shoko "Ishi" Ishida has some really nice shoes-and she looks really great wearing them!

Didn’t initially think much of it til I saw Kasumi in some pretty heels and thought, “oh, those heels really look great on her”, only to come up to another scene and think once again “Oh, I love those heels she’s wearing there!”. I then began consciously looking out for what she was wearing!

Shoko seems to fluctuate between three different pairs, her black and white heels for professional work, a black pair of flats, and these cozy white sandals she wears for more casual things, like running the home...

...or going down to the combini to grab drinks and snacks! I love this scene, by the way, just a long shot of the gang shopping, very natural and casual!

As everyone's footwear is clearly visible, I actually wonder if this is a big concentrated effort on behalf of the wardrobe department to showcase the goods they've selected for their characters as the shoes seem so prominent!

Looking again, it might just be the way Kasumi stands. She seriously seems to be “modeling” the shoes  for the camera in some scenes, and even when she’s just standing with her feet together she looks so good!

I do also have to consider that perhaps I’m just getting the symptoms of another full-blown Kasumi Arimura crush coming on….
