J-Drama Diary (Of Sorts)

Mizobata Junpei, Kuroki Meisa, Abe Hiroshi in SHINZANMONO
Started watching the Abe Hiroshi crime drama SHINZANMONO, and by episode 4 it's already become just about my FAVORITE show! With fast-paced dialog, great cinematography and a big attention to details, it's got everything I love in a drama! Throw in luscious Kuroki Meisa as Abe's ex-colleague, and you've got a flat-out grand-slam show!
A well-known woman in a small community has been violently strangled to death, and it's up to newcomer detective Kaga (Abe) and his cousin/partner Shuhei (Mizobata) to track down the clues to find out just what happened that fateful day.

Each episode deals with the team interviewing a different set of people connected with the case, and while researching the facts, learn about the their occupations as well as their dark secrets. By the end of each show, they've sorted out the twisted problems of the suspects as well as gotten that much closer to solving the case!
Plus there's this HILARIOUS running gag about Kaga never being able to get his hands on a popular limited Taiyaki every day, despite the fact that he goes to the shoppe and waits in the long line patiently each day, SOMETHING comes up and he's thwarted once again!

In fact, just about the only bummer I encountered was when they had Meisa Kuroki eating a cream puff , but due to bad camera angles, I WASN'T ABLE TO GET ANY SCREENSHOTS OF HER EATING IT!!! I was, however, able to screencap the second after, where Meisa got powdered sugar all over her cute face!
Ahhh, just another great reason to wtch the show!!!
