The Disruptor Strikes Again

DO I REALLY have to sit by and watch this guy derail the career of yet ANOTHER actress that I really love? Christ, first time with Meisa Kuroki was such a blow, but reading the new headlines, this time with with Alice Hirose, I just feel... disappointment.
2012 Headlines:
My reaction then:
2025 Headlines:
My reaction now:

Sigh. Maybe I'm jumping the gun and it's all just rumors. Or heck, maybe they'll be good for each other and there won't be any adverse effects on Alice's career, I.E. knocking her up like he did Meisa Kuroki and having her withdraw from activities....
Exactly what Patty says. Good Grief.

Alice Hirose On Hiatus

Oooh Nooooo! Another Fave actress of mine buckling under the pressures of stardom...
Of course, Alice's health is the most important thing here, and if she needs to take a rest, so be it, but MAN it seems like so many of my fave actresses  go on hiatus JUST when they are gaining traction and YES I'm looking at Emi Takei when I say this.
Hope Alice gets the rest she needs and is back soon....

Erika Toda Gets Hitched

Hey! Looks like Erika toda got married today, and to none other than Tori Matsuzaka!

From the Straits Times:

SINGAPORE - Popular Japanese actress Erika Toda and actor Tori Matsuzaka said on Thursday (Dec 10) that they have tied the knot.

The news came as a surprise to the Japanese entertainment industry as the newlyweds, both 32, had never been linked in dating rumours previously, but they had worked together on the comedy suspense film April Fools (2015), as two people whose lives become entangled after they have a one-night stand.
Both stars made the announcement through their agencies and a note on their respective Twitter accounts.

Toda, known for playing as Misa Amane in the Death Note film series (2006 to 2016), as well as her roles in the Code Blue television series (2008 to 2017) and Hana Yori Dango (Boys Over Flowers) Returns (2007), made clear that she has no plans to retire from acting after marriage.
She wrote in her note: "I'll continue to carry the gratitude I feel for everyone and hopefully become a better actress from this point forwards. Please watch over me warmly."

Matsuzaka was named Best Leading Actor this year at the prestigious Japan Academy Awards for his role in political drama The Journalist (2019).
He wrote in his note: "This may be a sudden announcement but I, Tori Matsuzaka, have married Erika Toda."
He adds: "As the circumstances of my lifestyle change, I will be more responsible and conscious than ever and face everything with sincerity."

Huh, looks like yet another Power Couple in the Biz! Congrats to the newlyweds!

Ack, Another Blow to J-Drama Fandom!

Awhile ago Fans of J-dramas took a hit when d-addicts announced it was dropping its j-drama torrent section, and sadly, today it announced that they were soon to phase out their SUBTITLE section as well!
Understandable since they're taking so much flak from copyright holders, etc, but DAMN, I don't rightly know where I'm gonna be getting my subtitles from now! Fortunately I'm still a member of a few outlying subtitle groups out there, but for everything else....
edit:
Looks like they're keeping the subtitle section for now!!!

ORICON held a poll asking women which Japanese actress they considered to have the "best Body" and out of all of them, slutry NANAO was the one who came out on top!
