Anne Nakamura in "Love Rerun"

Sayaka Minami is a shy and introverted girl working for an advertisement agency. Though the company is hip and forward thinking,  Sayaka is one to draw to the background. So when her supervisor chooses her along with two other girls to base an ad on their love experience, she is in a panic!
She relates her problems to her good friend and roommate Yumi Uno(the ever amazing Aimi Satsukawa) who tells her she has to go out and make the experience herself.
There IS someone whom Sayaka has always harbored a deep love for, and that is her childhood friend Ryosuke Sasigawa (Ryohei Otani), but she knows that it is one sided.
Still, Yumi tricks her into calling him up, and the two spend a nice evening together, chatting about old times.
Ryosuke tells Sayaka he wants to take her someplace for her upcoming birthday, and that evening she makes the decision to confess her love for him on that day.
She snuggles off to sleep, with the hope that all will turn out right between she and Ryosuke...
And when she wakes up, she wakes up on the floor of a strange apartment...and the beauty she sees in her mirror reflection is someone she barely recognizes as herself!
Somehow she has been changed into this gorgeous version of herself (i.e., changed to look like Anne Nakamura, LOL) and she's been living with a young man named Shohei Machida (Yuki Furukawa) who curtly tells the stunned woman that since they've broken up, would she please move out! Adding to the confusion , when she goes to work, she finds that this guy is her higher up!
Little by little, Sayaka comes to realize that she is living 3 months since the night she promises to confess her love, a 3 months she has NO RECOLLECTION of!
Who is this Mysterious Shohei Machida? Why can't she remember her past three months? And, most importantly, where is Ryohei in all of this? Join Sayaka as she stumbles and guesses her way through her new life in which she has gone from a mousey girl to a trending, fashionable personality!
Soooo excited to see Anne Nakamura in her very own starring vehicle! As you all know, I've been madly in love with her since I first set eyes upon her in the Satomi Ishihara drama "From 5 to 9" and I've been waiting for her to really make a name for herself! Hopefully, this drama will be the one to do it!

Todome No Kiss

Also checking out the very strange  "Todome No Kiss". Seeing as how the first time I saw Mugi Kadowaki, she was a disemebodied ghost hanging around Tao Tsuchiya, I was already expecting a fantastical mystery drama, and that's what I got!
Todome No Kiss tells the story of an uscrupulous Caba Club Host named Dojima (Kenta Yamazaki) trying to con his way into rich girl Namiki's (a very pretty Yuko Araki) life and heart to get to her fortunes...
...however his plans are constantly thwarted by a mysterious woman whom, when she kisses him, sends him 7 days back into the past!

Ehh, I'll keep watching this one to see where it goes as I love both Yuko Araki and Mugi Kadowaki. But GEEZ, I'm really not liking the main character Dojima.
Such an unpleasant guy, and his reactions to his plight are weird: He's using all his time-jumping knowledge to get further into the rich girl's life, so why is he constantly screaming and panicking when it happens? Especially in one scene where he's actually DYING. Wouldn't ANYONE be happy to get a kiss that will send you back into the past? Hmmmm.

PS:  was pretty fun seeing Harumi Inoue making an appearance here as one of Dojima's mature clientele! she's as stunning as ever!

Repeat 終わり

Holy CRAP, did Repeat end on a high note! This drama of a group of random people chosen to jump back 10 months into the past had me constantly guessing what was going to happen next, and just when I thought I had it figured out, I found myself pleasantly surprised by the turn of events!
I've always liked Shihori Kanjiya, and she was sooo, sooo good  as the sweet and kind-hearted Ayumi. You could easily see why she was so well-liked by her time-travelling partners (well, at least the ones that weren't trying to kill her!) and by the drama's end I had really grown attached to her!
The last episode's conclusion left me entirely satisfied and not just a little lonely!
I'll miss seeing these characters every week!

A Delightful CM Story

A hilarious CM series for the Japanese candy Sakeru Gummy featuring a cute young girl who gets wooed away from her boyfriend when she finds another guy whose Gummy candy is way BIGGER than his!
Japan is really great with these Mini-drama CMS which tell a bigger story if you are able to see them all (and in order!) This one features an astounding 11(!) chapters..msut have taken awhile to get them all and edit them together! Wonder who the girl is?

Long Long Man, Where ARE You?!

J-Drama Deja-Vu: The "Koi Ga Heta" Apartment

Just started watching the Atsuro Watabe/Kanna Hashimoto detective drama "Keishichou Ikimono Gakari: MPD Animal Unit" and while watching the two of them on a case, I couldn't help but notice that the apartment complex they went to investigate:
... was none other than the building that Rin Takanashi and Kaho Tsuchimura lived in in the wacky romcom "Koi Ga Heta Demo Ikitemasu":

Since I'd wrapped up Koi Ga Heta not so long ago, the front lobby was still very much in my memory, and watching them walking out, I was expecting Chihiro or Misa come running out right away! LOL!
Hmmm, wonder if I'll be seeing this building in OTHER dramas after this!
EDIT:
A sighting in an episode of Babysitter Gin...
And in Arimura Kasumi no Satsukyu!!

Catching Up With Aimi Nakamura (She Grew Up!)

Aimi Nakamura back in 1998's GTO
Watching the fantastic Takeshi Sorimachi drama GTO: Great Teacher Onizuka waaaaay back in 1998, I always figured that pretty Aimi Nakamura, who played the troubled antagonistic student Miyabi Aizawa, was going to grow up to be one beautiful lady some day, but apart from her next role in the Ryoko Hirosue drama LIPSTICK, I never saw her again!
It was surprising, to say the least, as Aimi’s character was such a charismatic and important one in the drama, whether she be playin’ it cool with the guys in her class…
...butting heads with Teacher Fuyutsuki (Nanako Matsushima)…
and dealing with that bothersome Teacher Onizuka, from at first hating him, to ignoring him...and finally being won over by him....

...lovely Aimi was one of the main reasons I loved this drama!
Looking over her dramawiki stats, it appears that she’s done a bit of movie roles since then, but as far as i knew, she’d simply fallen off the face of the earth! And every now and again, I’d wonder, “Hey, what ever became of that pretty young girl Aimi Nakamura?” But I didn’t see anything…until recently!
Looking over a forum with some older gravure videos, I was surprised to see an “Aimi Nakamura” listed there, as I wasn’t aware of her as having done any of those back then…Then I saw it was a video from just a few years ago, and THIS video featured an ALL GROWN UP Aimi:
...and she was looking as ROCKIN’ and SMOKIN' as could be! WHOA!

Shedding off her cute schoolgirl image, Aimi went straight for the jugular with this video release, as she was SEXY, SEXY, SEXY!!

Man, going from that mental image of that incorrigible student in GTO to this ravishing  beauty took some getting used to, but once I did, I embraced this video of hers to its FULLEST!

Damn, Aimi is totally going for broke here, posing in the most daring and scandalous of shots- from bikinis to skimpy bra and panties to bold semi-nude shots- this one had it ALL!

Recently, Aimi hasn't done much, and I'm just WAITING for her to come back and make another splash...for now, though, these pics will do nicely!
