Amuro Namie Announces Her Retirement

Damn, just heard the news that J-pop superstar Namie Amuro is going to wrap things up by September of 2018 after a stunning 25 years in the business. I got into J-pop and J-dramas  in 1995 and she  was one of the very first artists I fell in love with and had to have all her catalog!
The very first J-drama I watched was the Higashiyama Noriyuki MacGuyer-but-with-food themed "The Chef" and I always loved rocking out the the ending theme song, the awesome "Chase The Chance"which is still one of my all-time favorite tracks from her!
Man, seems like all the acts of my 'golden era" of j-pop fandom are hanging up their hats...SMAP, Judy And Mary, Kome Kome Club, Princess Princess, (well the latter have since returned), times have really moved on.... Hmmm, the whole of next year should be buzzing with all the final performances and appearances leading up to Namie's last show.... She's definitely one of the GREATS!
