Absolutely sweet story of an all-too naive and innocent 24 year old girl who gets engaged to a man some 20 years her senior.
Wakana Aoi plays Maiko Murakami, a wide-eyed girl who gets set up with a 44 year old divorcee from her Father’s company. Though she hadn’t had any thoughts of marriage, a health scare by her father has prompted him to see that she is cared for, and so she agrees to meet with the man.
The man is named Harumi Hanasato (Takezai Terunosuke), and right away Maiko can see how kind and gentle he is, though his interaction with the wait staff at the restaurant they meet up in, and later talking outside. Soon Maiko finds that she is indeed attracted to Hanasato, and, over time he returns the affection and the two are happily married!
This drama intends to show the adventures the two have starting their new life together while dealing with that glaring 20 year gap in their ages.
Didn’t know what to expect with this drama, but with Shanai Marriage Honey and Marry Me! both on at the same time, I wasn’t sure I wanted to dive into yet another “We hardly Knew Each Other But We Got Married!” scenarios. But man, from the first five minutes, Maiko melted my heart with her adorable outlook and outspoken style of blurting out exactly what is on her mind!
I can always use a relaxing drama like this one to watch at the end of a long day~
PS: Yes, I know the two pics are almost identical, couldn't make up my mind which one to use for my post and decided to use both....
