Just started the new haru drama Koi ni Ochita Ohitorisama ~Stendhal no Renairon~ !

Satoko Okabe is a shy and introverted girl working at a library where she has no friends and keeps to herself. She tries to mind her own business but it becomes hard when belittled by her more popular co-workers (Lisa Oda and Karin Ono) and made to feel unattractive and unimportant. (!)

She has no romance in her life but there is one thing she is passionate about, and it’s her love of romance books like Les Miserables. Through the books she gets taken away on storybook romances she can only dream of happening in real life...

 But when she stumbles on her step-stool and literally falls into the arms of a dashing young man named Suzuki (Koji Seto), she feels a fairytale-like connection to him and for the first time finds herself desiring someone!

But a reserved and mundane girl like Satoko can’t even begin to fathom what to do about starting up a friendship much less a love relationship with someone! It's all she can do to stutter her way through their brief conversations and she's close to giving up!

She needs HELP, and after wracking her brains for a solution, what should appear in front of her but an apparition of the great French Author Stendhal (Fumiyo Kohinata), famous for his books on love and romance!!!

Satoko knows that Stendhal is really just her imagination running away with her, but when the friendly vision of Stendhal tells her he can school her in the lessons of love and help her win the hand of Suzuki, she ably accepts his offer! And thus begins her process to a becoming a brand new girl!

Haru is back with yet another “Mousey Girl Gets Schooled by Older Man in the Ways of Romance” much like her character in “Survival Wedding”, and I’m ALL FOR IT!!!
After the positively dreary “Itoshii Uso: Yasashii Yami” (where she also played an introverted mousey girl). I’m SO READY to see Haru back in a lively and FUN drama!!!
