There's this huge LOVE statue that they use as a backdrop in a multitude of J-dramas, and I’d always wondered where it was. Seeing it yet again, it occured to me that now with the power of the internet, it would be easy to find! Simply typing in “Giant LOVE Statue in Japan” immediately identified the piece and where to find it!Seeing that it was located at a place called “Shinjuku I-Land”, I went onto trusty Googlemaps and found the place, and then began virtually walking around the surrounding streets. Didn’t see it at first, but WAIT! Off in the distance I saw a glimpse of bright red!!!
Virtually ‘running” down the street, could it be...?
getting closer, the object became clearer, and YEP!
Sure enough, there it was, that FAMOUS LOVE statue that was the meeting place for hundreds of J-dramas!!!
Kind of unusual to see it out in the wild! Will have to stand in front of it myself someday!
