Their first client unde the NEMESIS banner (formerly Kurita Detective Agency) is a young woman physician named Kiko Uehara (Yuko Oshima) who is concerned about one of her wealthy elderly clients named Shibusawa.
The team make their way to the mansion for the event, where they meet Uehara and the six mistresses. One of these women may be the one who sent the threatening letter, and they keep close eyes on them, fearing for his safety.
Hilariously, we learn that despite Kazama's boastful declarations of being a great detective, it’s actually humble Anna who is the one keenly observing and deducing the clues, and it is hilarious to see her “feeding” Kazama his lines so as to appear competent!
Tragically, despite their best efforts, Shibusawa is murdered in gruesome fashion right under their noses. Mysterious notes have been scrawled by the victim in blood before he died, and it is up to the team to decipher the message and determine who (if any) of the women are the guilty party!
So far it’s another fine if average by-the-numbers detective show, compete with a darker sub-plot about the character’s secret darker sides. (Do we really need these?) Been awhile since I saw Sakurai Sho in anything, and this may be this first time I’m seeing Suzu in a lead role.
BTW, was thrilled to see gravure model Tomomi Morisaki as one of the alleged murder suspects Ruby Akai!!!
