Was watching the latest episode of the Yutaka Takenouchi/ Haru Kuroki drama “Ichikei no Karasu” in a scene where they showed Judge Sakama (Kuroki) doing quick shotgun rulings on cases, and in the flurry of people on the stands, I was happily surprised to see Mei Nagano, Kenichi Endo AND Alice Hirose as delightfully dubious defendants!

Kenichi Endo as a convict with a particular taste for prison food...
and Alice Hirose as a would-be delinquent tuff gal who quickly changes her tune when threatened with further fines!
I was laughing, wondering just HOW they managed to get all three of these actors in to just do a bit part!
It all became clear to me when the ending credits ran, as it credited: Nagano Mei, Hirose Alice & Endo Kenichi: “Jiogku No Hanazono”…AH! They were here to promote their new movie!!!
As of matter of fact, Jigoku No Hanazono has been on my wishlist for awhile now- had forgotten ALl about it!!! Now have renewed interest in seeing it!!! Isn’t it great how promotion works?
We ‘ve already talked about how dramas will have little cameos from other shows as a wink to the fans, like Watashi no Kaseifu Nagisa-san/MIU404, and Kono Koi Atatamemasuka/Koisuru Hahatachi, and we have yet another FUN easter egg for us!

I just LOVE this!!! Having cameos by stars as people on trial reminds me of how they used to have celebrities as callers on Frasier's Radio show back in the day!
