Anne Nakamura |
Well, come to find out that while she may not be the “main” character in the show, she’s definitely one of the main cast who gets a decent amount of screentime each episode and WOW! Does she use that time to KNOCK ME OFF OF MY FEET- enough to propel her from strong interest into FULL BLOWN CRUSH STATUS!
The Deets:
As the drama’s scene opens, Iroha Hatano (Nakamura) is having a conversation with a fidgety man named Yugo Akabe (Ikki Sawamura) and one gets the inkling that they are on a first meeting date or an informal interview of sorts.
He is telling her of his sad recent situation of falling for a money scam, being saddled with a 100 Million Yen debt AND losing his job, to which the smart and sharp Anne writes on her clipboard, “baka”, LOL!
Rental Savior, Akabe discovers, is a service where you can hire someone to be your personal “savior”, whether it be yardwork, walking your dogs or being first in line for you at a store opening- all of which is fine for the mild mannered Akabe- but when it comes to things like fighting violent criminals and stopping kidnapping schemes, he is clearly out of his league!
He'd rther not put himself into such dangerous situations, but because of his crippling debt , he knows he has to at least TRY the job out- if only to support his lovely daughter and wife (Izumi Inamori). Unfortunately, his heart is bigger than his skills, and he always ends up in jsut as bad a situation as the people he's supposed to be saving!

Fortunately, the shining star of Rental Kyuseishu is the heroic and nimble-bodied Aoi Denjiro (JWave’s Ryuisei Fujii) who uses his almost superhuman fighting skills to disable and disarm any and all threats to the clients!
His only problem is that he is insanely narcissistic and does his deed “to be the center of attention”. And it’s here that Yuga’s personality begins to shine.

It’s his sincerity that touches the very first client he is assigned to help, Reiko Momochi (played by Mirai Shida, whom I haven’t seen in AGES)- even after they have saved her from her oppressors, he is concerned about her well-being when he feels she is more hurt than she lets on. It’s his tenacity to sticking with her that eventually helps her through her problems.
So far it’s a great fun, wacky and touching drama, an excellent replacement for the zany “Kaseifu No Mitazono” which I just finished last week. And OH MAN, is it FILLED with LUSCIOUS Anne Nakamura GOODNESS!!!!
I mentioned that I was wondering what kind of role she had in this drama, and while she isn’t a “main” character, she’s definitely part of the Rental Kyuseishu team, and make no bones about it- her role here is to be as HOT, sexy and ALLURING as she can!
