Back By Popular Demand! “Isekai Izakaya Nobu” Season 2!

I had mentioned in my last gush about the cute timeslip culinary drama Isekai Izakaya Nobu getting the green light for a second season, and not only has it arrived, but subbing team monchi has already picked it up! Hallelujah!!

Our Second season begins much the same way Season One began: with Nikolaus and Berltholt having a duel of swords. But this time, thanks to the advent of the wonderful Nobu Izakaya, instead of honor, the two are fighting over which is the best dish, Salted Chicken or Soy Sauce Chicken, showing how much good food has changed them all for the better!

Yes, for now, it's ALL about the meals, and all the regulars are back as well:
Ryohei Otani as Nobuyuki
Rena Takeda as Shinobu
Shinnosuke Abe as Bertholt
Jin Shirasu as Nikolaus
Yutaka Kobayashi as Hans

Akane Hotta as Helmina
Yuzumi Shintani as Eva
Together they make best use of the time to whip up some standard izakaya fare- which is simply out-of-this-world for the old world tavern!
A traditional "foodie" drama dressed up with colorful characters and a fun sense of humor!
…and as usual, this is a drama that’s very dangerous to watch on an empty stomach!!!
Ahhhh, so hungry right now....

Isekai Izakaya "Nobu"

Have to admit that when I first saw the drama Isekai Izakaya "Nobu"on the forums, I had no real interest in watching it, but now that I am Cuckoo for Cocoa-Puffs (and when I say Cocoa Puffs I mean Rena Takeda), it suddenly became a MUST see, especially since they’ve just announced a whole new season and it’s time to get caught up!
In the alternate world of Atelia are two young warrior lads named Nikolaus (Jin Shirasu) and Hans (Yutaka Kobayashi) who are just trying to make it in the medieval world with a back-breaking leader Berthold (Shinnosuke Abe) who has them training til exhaustion each day!
At night the only things they have to look forward to are bad food and bitter beers. If only there were a better place to go!
By chance the two stumble upon the mysterious tavern "Nobu", and upon venturing in, find it quite unlike anything they've ver seen in their life!
Inside, they find an atmosphere completely new to them: bright, clean and warm, with frosty beers served in glass mugs and delectable meals prepared by chef Nobuyuki Yazawa (Ryohei Otani) himself and served by the affable and friendly Shinobu (Rena)!

The wonderful repast tastes out of this world, and there's a reason for that! It seems that while this mild mannered restaurant ekes out its existence in the archaic world of Aritzia, behind the back door of the out is a gateway...to modern day Kyoko!!!
This is TRULY a restaurant out of TIME!
EDIT: Oh Noooo, it seems despite the medieval setting and timeslip details, this is just another long winded FOODIE SHOW, this time citing the appeal of your regular dishes as seen through the astounded eyes of the medieval guests!!
AHAHAHA, I’ve been shanghaied!!!
…will still watch for the Rena Takeda goodness, but…..BOY these Foodie dramas are everywhere!!! Rena, what have you gotten me into!?
