More Mutant Madness in SICK’S SPEC Saga

This SPEC series is kind of like Death Note: a seeming GAZILLION dramas, movies, series, specials dedicated to it and no clear path to navigate them!
Man, from such a humble drama KEIZOKU with Miki Nakatani and Atsuro Watabe as virtual Fox Mulder and Dana Scully clones seeking out the paranormal, this series has burst into a veritable X-MEN franchise of sorts!
Truthfully, after the Erika Toda/Ryo Kase series pulled the rug out from under me by setting the drama’s conclusion in a SP that came later, I gave up trying to make heads or tails of any Keizoku/SPEC stuff and simply avoided them...But when I saw that this new series SICK’S (a purported “conclusion” to the series) starred Fumino Kimura, Yuina Kuroshima and Yua Shinkawa,THREE actresses I really love, I knew I had to at least check it out!
The lead investigator in this series is Hiroyo Takakura (Shota Yasuda), a man only recently learning that the mythical SPECS are real and in fact, running rampant in Japan!
he is paired with Shizuru Mikuriya (Kimura), a secret SPEC herself who teams up with the detective in search of the mysterious HOLIC.
Man, this series has become so overly glitzy with the outlandish and bad CG effects, so much that at first I wasn’t even sure this was the same show! But then Ryu Raita entered the scene, complete with his jar of “Kakimochi”, I knew I was in the right place!
The Kamen Rider Series had its Tachibana Tobei and Keizoku/SPEC has its Nonomura Kotaro! Too bad the character of Miyabi isn’t played by Kasumi Arimura any more (now played by Mariko Kobayashi), but I guess she’s gone on to greener pastures…
BTW, When I saw that  SICK’S encompassed 142 episodes, I nearly had a heart attack, but it seems that each of these "episodes” are only 2 minutes long. Thankfully, they have been compiled into regular length episodes for us to check out, not sure of how many episodes, though. (edit: okay, seems like it will be 5 full episodes)
Kind of fun, wacky drama to watch, though I’m of course wary that they’re gonna conclude it with another movie or special down the road!!!
