Indigo Area are a rock band on the verge of making it big. They are slowly gaining recognition for their work and are already a sensation among the music community! In particular the draw is in the dual partnership of Keyboardist Jun Hee (Eunkyung Shim) and Lead Singer Haruki (Hayato Kakizawa). They inspire each other and even have their photo shoots and interviews together. But their relationship may not be as close as Jun Hee thinks and the respect and admiration she has for him may not go the other way!
Indeed, Haruki is already moving on from her, to a model named Megumi Hayami (Sumire) . As they pass each other in the hallways, we learn they’ve already been having an affair, though this is news to her.Their manager Etsuko Miyano (Yuka Itaya) has just gotten them a huge online gig which will be seen by people around the world. and despite their problems, the group knock it out of the park...But once the performance is over, Haruki announces that he is QUITTING the band!
Everyone is shocked, not least of all Junhee herself, who now wonders about her future with Haruki. Confronting him at last, Haruki reveals his true feelings. The feeling she has is simply NOT mutual and her love for him is, frankly, smothering to him. With a flippant attitude, he breaks it off with her completely. This devastates Jun Hee, and she withdraws to her home, unwilling to talk to anyone, go out or even pick up the phone. She wants to get her feelings settled and move on-but she and Haruki were simply too famous for the media to ignore, and the TV channels are overflowing with the news, talking about Indigo Area's breakup, Haruki and Jun Hee's break-up…and Haruki's brand new lover Megumi! She has to get away from all this media. She wants to go somewhere far away where no one knows her and finally sums up her courage to leave the house to take a bus and get out of town. She is mobbed outside her home, smirked at by by the cab-drivers and secretly photographed by the curious teenagers on the ride, delighted to see the famous keyboardist trying to hide. The eyes on her take its toll, and once at her destination, she bursts from the bus and tries to lose herself. But looking at her phone, she sees that her every move is being documented by the onlookers!Overwhelmed, she has to get OUT, and rushes towards the ocean, past a gentle guy named Ren (Ryuya Wakaba) who is out fishing. He panics when he realizes this woman is going to jump and, leaping up to stop her, inadvertently startles her into falling off the edge anyway! She hits hard but he jumps in in time to save her. Taking the unconscious woman back to his home, he slowly helps her regain her health. In the time she is recuperating, she offers not a hint of who she is. And as she grows away from the hype and harassment of the big city, she begins to heal...
This promises to be a heartfelt and touching little drama, one I expect to enjoy in the weeks to come!
