On The Move with Eunjung

Eun Jung
Been catching up on a lot of older INVINCIBLE YOUTH and RUNNING MAN episodes, and who should guest appear on both shows I just watched at the same time, but T-ara's Eunjung Herself!!!!!
Hyomin brings her sister Eunjung
Eunjung's appearance on Invincible Youth was the first time I ever got to see her out of her usuawl T-ara element, and I was happy to find that she was an exuberant and lively girl, instantly getting into the swing of things with the Invincible Youth cast members and cracking them up with her outspoken ways!
Wrestling with Yuri in the Rice Paddy Mud
Though she admitted to coming onto the show to help her T-ara sister Hyomin (the perpetual "Folding Screen Queen") get more camera time, before you knew it, she was becoming the center of attention herself, and when she got into a playful mud wrestling fight with Yuri, Hyomin was all but forgotten! In fact, as the scene wrapped up, Village Chief Noh even jokingly invited Eunjung to TAKE HYOMIN'S PLACE ON THE SHOW! AHAHAHA! Poor Hyomin!
After that episode I found I had a warm place in my heart for her, and whaddaya know, only a few days later, I'm watching an early episode of Running Man, and when I excitedly wait to see who the pretty female guest is (and MAN have there been many!) who should appear but Eunjung AGAIN!
Eunjung on Running Man Ep#07
She was teamed up with JongKook, HaHa Gary and Joonki, as part of the CHASER group, and it was so cute to watch her running along with the Running Man members like the little sister of the team (there was even one segment where she was wearing a bunny-ears hoodie as she ran along following them around, such aegyo on this girl!) giving the group a much needed feminine touch!
CHASER Team Jongkook, Eunjung, Jongki, Gary and HaHa
Checking on prisoner Jaesuk
JongKook beckons his little sister to follow
Her expressions during Haha and Gary's childish outbursts during their war-room planning made me smile, her bemused face as she watched liek watching two older brothers steal yoys from each other!
Then came the challenge where everyone had to drink lemon juice.  You had to roll dice to see how many lemons they would put into the drink and then down it in a race. Hilariously, when she watched KwangSoo preparing her lemon jiuce, squeezing with his dirty hands, she commented that she wanted cleanly made lemon juice, LOL! So Sassy!
KwangSoo proudly smashing lemons
Eunjung: "Please Don't Use Your Bare Hands"
KawngSoo: ". . ."
For pure adorable expressions though, it was so much fun watching her face as she battled Sukjin in the sour lemon drinking contest, fighting back grimaces and tears to beat him out!
During the segment where everyone got a chance to boogie down onstage, Eunjung's giggles as she watched JongKook slapstick dancing to his old TURBO songs were so darn adorable! (too bad they either didn't let her have a chance to dance or they edited it out, she woulda been fun) I kept rewinding it so I could hear her laughter! SO CUTE!!!!
Ahhhh, I see that T-ara's Jiyeon's in a later episode, too...gotta check that one out! If it's as fun as this one was (as well as the awesome Charlie's Angels Episode with Hyomin) then I'm in for a real treat!!!

The Sad Saga Of "Hyoderella"

Hyomin being put to task in Invincible Youth Season One
For awhile on episodes of Invincible Youth Season One, it was like the running gag to have Kim Shinoyung Unnie jokingly bossing T-ARAs Hyomin around, and this all came to a head in episode 14 where the girls had to bathe their newly acquired (and very dirty) puppy Yoochiri. Assigning Hyomin all the water duties of bringing in the water, heating up the water and taking out the dirty water, It was like watching an evil stepmother and two evil stepsisters bossing around their Cinderella stepsister! In fact, Hyomin became commonly referred to as “Hyoderella”, LOL!
AHAHAHA, pretty funny stuff, but apparently this didn’t sit well with the onine T-ARA community, and after a few more episodes of Hyomin being bossed around, we suddenly saw Shinyoung hilariously pretending to be really nice to Hyomin. very graciously asking her to fetch the water... What was the reason for this sudden turn? Well we soon find out the reason is that after weeks of giving it to Hyomin, Shinyoung was getting scolded online! So funny, when she’s asking Hyomin nicely to get the water, the blurb reads, “She gently coaxes her because she’s afraid of T-ara’s fans! LOL
A little later, Shinyoung is grousing about how KARA's Hara’s taking a long time as well, and she mischievously coemes up and sweetly threatens Shinyoung , coyly saying, “Unnie, Are you getting mad at me?” and then turning to the camera and commanding all her Kamilias to rise up and come to arms!!! AHAHAHA!
And By The Way, everything worked out for the girls in that Dog washing episode, and the show ended with the girls all pitchin gin to clean up and then take a well-deserved nap, with the watm and clean Yoochiri snuggling up to sleep in his new mother Hyuna's sweater....
*sigh*...Did I ever mention how fricking terrific this show is?

It's Always Narsha, Narsha, Narsha!

When I first got into K-Pop with KARA and SNSD, my friend Shanomac suggested I would like watching INVINCIBLE YOUTH since it featured girls from both groups. I began simultaneously watching both Season One for Sunny and Yuri and Hara, and Season Two for Sunny, Hyoyeon and Jiyoung. Funny though, as time went on, I began losing interest in Season Two while at the same time began totally LOVING Season One. The dynamics of the show was SOOOO different from the second...the girls seemed a lot more like a family, and they seemed to really care about each other and the community.
And another funny thing that happened was that although I began watching the show for SNSD and KARA,  I began to find myself waiting in anticipation each episode for Brown Eyed Girls' Narsha to appear! I dunno why, maybe it was her no-nonsense personality, or sexy bawdy humour, or the way the other girls really loked up to her like a real older sister, or the way she really bonded and cared for  the elders of the town, but I felt like this was the most honest and truest girl here, and soon enough, she became my favorite girl in the series and my main reason (out of so many reasons) to watch the show!
So I had a crush on Narsha slowly developing, and things came to a head in episode 7, where the girls threw w Christams party, and for the first time, we got to see the girls dressed in their elegant best! All the girls looked as pretty and chraarming as possible, but Narsha  topped them all, giving off a sultry cool Elizabeth Taylor vibe that just stunned me!
And I wasn't the only one- the male guests each had a chance to give a present to one member of their choice, and Narsha was one of the ones to receive double gifts! I think that's saying something when you're the opular girl of choice in such an insanely pretty group like G7:
Girls Generation, KARA, Brown Eyed Girls, 4Minute, T-ara and Secret, these girls really represent the luscious cream of the crop! And yet, somehow that 30+ year old lady was the one (along with everyone's fave Sunny) that the guys were fighting over!

Going back to my friend Shanomac, I said I was interested in hearing some of Narsha's music and he set me up with their albums Sound G and Sixth Sense as well as their single  Cleansing Cream... WOW, can you say IMPRESSED? I was BLOWN AWAY! Abracadabra, Hot Shot, Sixth Sense, Vendetta, etc, these songs were killer awesome and I had to go run out and purchase those albums myself and now consider myself a beginning Brown Eyed Girls Fan!
And god, don't even get me started on how frickin' gorgeous Narsha is outside of her Invincible Youth confines! Who would have thought that sweet and sensible girl with the glasses and pigtails was such an unbelievably STUNNING woman? Crush? Talk about totally IN LOVE!!!!
OK, back to more Invincible Youth and more Narsha goodness...

IY Notes: Yewon and Woori

Watching the latest episode of Let’s Go Dream Team with a whole plethora of babelicious idol girls, (including, among others. RaNia, Nine Muses and Dal Shabet) the main draw for me was for Rainbow's delegate Woori (as well as her fellow Rainbow mate Ji Sook), but what took me by surprise was how absolutely girlishly pretty Jewelry's Yewon Kim was!
Jisook & Woori (Rainbow) and Yewon & Juyeon (Jewelry)
Appearing with her fellow Jewelry-mate Juyeon, this was the first time I’ve ever seen Yewon outside of her Invincible Youth borders, and it was quite a surprise to see such a pretty girl under all those bundled up farm clothes I see her in each week! I’ll definitely be looking at her with a new appreciative eye!
Yewon in the Country and in Town
It was quite nice to see Yewon alongside her Invincible Youth sister Woori where I know her best, and in a strange coincidence, I was to see the two paired up again in the latest episode of IY I was watching, which actually turned out to be the last show that my beloved Woori was going to appear in!
Woori, Yewon and Samchon Soogeun having fun during chores
Although I’d already read about her departure along with F(x)’s Amber and MCs Lee Soo Geun and Ji Hyun Woo, it still was pretty sad to see her go, in fact, I think I’m gonna miss all of them. Knowing it was going to be their last shoot together made the happy scenes of Samchon Soogeun, Yewon and Woori joking around while doing chores together and playing games even more touching!

Seven and Seven Is

T-ara Diamond Edition Jewelry Box Set
I’d been waiting in anticipation for my Limited Diamond Edition of T-ARA’s new Japanese album JEWELRY BOX to arrive, an edition I just HAD to get because it included not only a 100 page photo book, but a 90 minute DVD filled with PVs and a bonus MINI CONCERT!
The Seven members of T-ara hit the stage!
The Mini concert didn’t disappoint, and so for the first time I got to see T-ARA performing live onstage, what a THRILL it was to finally see them in action! Besides the joy of watching them dance through their hits, it was fascinating getting to know the girls’ onstage personas, as up until this point, Hyomin was the only one I really knew anything about! But now I know how much fun each and every member can be!

Lovey Dovey

The girls ran through the eight-song set, and aside froma very strange interlude where Jiyeon came out to dance to “Maru Maru Mori Mori” (WTF?) it was as cool and rockin’ as you could want! I was even pleased to find they performed one of my very favorite songs “Naga Neumu Apa (I’m Really Hurt), which I TOTALLY wasn’t expecting! In fact, the only disappointment I had was that they didn’t do “Lovey Dovey, of course I was to realize that at the time ths concert was shot, that single hadn’t even been released yet! LOL Though they DID put the MV on the disc as a bonus, as well!

After lunch, I resumed my K-pop watching festivities, this time to check out the PVs on some of my other purchases including KARA and their sister group RAINBOW... Imagine my surprise, when opening up Rainbow’s Over The Rainbow album I found not only the PV for their single MACH, but an ENTIRE MINI-CONCERT AS WELL!!! WHOAA!!!!
More K-pop goodness: KARA and RAINBOW Japanese Releases
Man, I had been watiign for weeks to see the T-ara Mini Concert, but this one was a complete and utter surprise!!! Stunned to find such an unexpected treasure, I immediately popped it in, and I have to say that for unabashed all-out girlish sexiness, you just can't beat Rainbow! From the get go these gals were onstage strutting their stuff, gesturing and posing like someone told them they were the sexiest group in the world (at that moment, they were) , belting out the tunes witht the confidence that they had the audience in the palms of their hands!
The Seven Members of Rainbow Hit The Stage!
Go, Woori, Go!!!
Like I said, it was a mini-concert, and they kept the show short and sweet, performing 6 songs including one encore and then a short backstage documentary. Watching this concert, I’m stunned as to why Rainbow aren’t more popular than they are- they really deliver the goods! I’m not kidding around when I tell you, each and every one of these performances were fierce as HELL and those girls have NEVER LOOKED FINER!

Setlist:
1. Mach
2. Not Your Girl
3. Gossip Girl
4. To Me
5. “A”
6. Mach (Encore)

Ah, man, bonuses like THESE are the staff of life for an avid J-Pop/K-Pop enthusiast like myself, and I for one am going to be first in line when they get around to releasing a DVD Concert proper, I was SOOO satisfied!!!
Getting To Know Your Rainbow Members
After the Concert I popped in the Music DVD  bonus for their Japanese single “Gonna Gonna Go”, and well, their beauty, sexiness, stellar dancing and adorable personalities continues to this day…!!! Funny how I started the day on a T-ARA high and finished it off riding on RAINBOW goodness!  If these two Seven-Member groups are any indication, K-Pop is gonna be makin' its mark BIG in the coming years!

PS, if these concerts weren’t awesome enough as is, they ALSO have the added bonus of being REGION-FREE, so I was able to watch both of them on my Bluray player setup in my living room AS WELL AS on my computer whenever I want!!!

Invincible Youth Love

I’m still in the middle of watching both Seasons One and Two of INVINCIBLE YOUTH (and will be for awhile- did you know that Season One alone had 58 episodes? WHOA!) and have come to believe that as far as reality shows go, it’s one of the very best shows out there!
There’s always something fun and interesting going on with those beautiful Idol girls, watching them working hard in the woods or fields for their daily meals, playing games for treats at the end of the day, or helping the town elders with things like cooking or taking them to the doctor, their wide-eyed innocence and big-hearted generosity makes you just fall in love with them and then you suddenly find that when you’re not watching the show, you really miss them!
More than anything else, though, the thing that always makes you leave the show with a warm and melancholy feel is the awesome ending credits. While the girls are performing their errands and chores every day, a photographer is always on hand to document their duties, and each episode ends with a montage of some of the best photos set up against the song “It’s All About You” by English Pop band McFly. I’m telling you, the beautiful and gentle images accompanied by the simple and optimistic song gives you SUCH a warm and fuzzy feeling, I find myself misty eyed at the close of every episode!

They were to replicate this formula  in Seson Two of Invincible Youth, with the equally sweet and gentle Paul McCartney Beatles’ song “I Will” accompanying the same heartwarming photo images, guaranteeing that at least for now, the girls of G8 will continue to capture the world of reality TV and beyond!

The Skinny On Secret

So I was showing my friend a few of my favorite K-pop videos this morning, starting with SNSD’s “Gee”, “Genie” and “Mr Taxi", all of which he applauded highly for their tight regimented dancing and sexy legs!
Since he was getting into it, I thought I’d show him a few more vids, among them “Love Is MOVE” by SECRET, a group that he totally dug, complimenting not only their enthusiastic dancing, but also their gorgeous features and amazing (read: CURVY) figures, saying “Now that’s what I’m talking about!”
Up next on out K-pop viewing list was the cute and peppy Rainbow doing their thumpin’  tune “A”, but it was too late for my friend, he had been completely taken out to sea by Secret. “Dude,” my friend apologized, “After watching that clip of that other group, the girls in THIS video look all skinny and underage!” D’OH! Poor Rainbow, despite their awesome songs and  smooth choreography, they just can’t compete with those full figures of Hyosung, Sunhwa, Zinger and Jieun! SECRET is MOVE!*

*PS, I know this saying doesn't make sense. Truthfully, neither does "Love is Move", but whatever.
