Kuroi 10-Nin No Onna 終わり
Oh my GOSH, I JUST finished watching the final episode of Kuroi 10-Nin No Onna, and DAMN if it wasn’t one of the BEST dramas I’ve seen EVER!!! Such a FUN, wacky and MADCAP show, I haven’t laughed so much in a show’s final episode since Junichi Okada’s deathbed scene in KISARAZU CAT’S EYE! I love, love loved this drama!!!
I’m telling you, this show started off with a bang with its wildly ridiculous storyline of the philandering Kaze and his 9 lovers (and wife) and just RAN with it all the way through all ten episodes and ending with a resounding TOUCHDOWN!!!
For people who only want a regular, serious drama, they need not stop by, but man for those of us who love the sharpwitted writing in the style of Miki Satoshi (Instant Numa, Adrift in Tokyo, etc) and Kudo Kankuro (Tiger and Dragon, Kisarazu Cat's Eye, Ikebukuro West Gate Park), this drama is the closest thing to HEAVEN!
Aw man, everyone in this drama was so darn great, I just want to flood this entry with screencaps of the 9 jilted lovers and wife extracting their revenge on the charmingly slippery Kaze, but for those of you whom haven’t yet checked out the drama, I didn’t want to spoil the “reveal” surprises of the latter lovers. (I thought it would be OK to show the first 6 since they are pretty much revealed in the first two episodes anyway) but EVERY SCENE just dazzles with these 10 ladies! Man,what a show!!!
I'm telling you, Kuroi 10nin No Onna is one drama ya just GOTTA check out!!!
PS: Just realized Kuroi 10-nin No Onna writer Bakarythm also wrote the awesome drama “Sutekina Sen Taxi”, one of my recent favorites, DAMN, looks like I’m going to have to keep an eye out on MORE of this guy’s writing!!! Kuroi 10 Nin No Onna is based on a 1961 movie starring Eiichiro Funakoshi’s FATHER Eiji Funakoshi in the role of Kaze…Man, I think I’ll have to seek this film out!
