The Sexy Side of Nana Seino

GEEZ, not even one day after being introduced to the sultry shenanigans of Mugi Kadowaki and I am once again taken for a loop when someone on reddit guided me to a VERY saucy Nana Seino in the 2014 movie "Tokyo Tribe" where Nana gives her salacious Panty-Flashing ALL!
Having only seen her in dramas like Hapimari, I'd only thought of Nana as a shy, cuddly type, but the way she goes from being an innocent girl kidnapped....
into serving the evil "Lord Buppa" and transforming herself into the Gang-destroying Kung-Fu Goddess Sunmi makes me see her in a WHOLE new Light!

Stunning Nana nakedness aside, Tokyo Tribe is one helluva FUN flick, think of it as "The Warriors with Rap Gangs" and you've got the gist of it!

The Sexy Side of Mugi Kadowaki

Just watched the 2014 erotic thriller "Love's Whirlpool" (Ai No Uzu) and I have to saw how shocked I am to see actress Mugi Kadowaki in the role of one of the movie's more...expressive characters!!!
Ai No Uzu tells the story of a troop of inexperienced/lonely people who meet up for an underground "meet-up" to connect with strangers and, ultimately, have sex.
As someone who's only seen Mugi in the roles of the more shy and "mousey" characters, such as the ghostly Chisato in "Omukae Death" and the time-jumping Sato in :"Todome No Kiss", I was stunned to see Mugi letting it all out and throwing herself into the role of the sexual "University Student"...I simply did not think she had it in her!!
Looks like this movie was waaaay before her current J-drama career and so its very likely we won't be seeing anything like this from her again, but ya never know....

A Classic Gets a 2020 Update

Very surprised to see listed on the Jdrama weblog of upcoming dramas a remake of the classic 1991 Oda Yuji/Suzuki Honami love drama "Tokyo Love Story" with Kentaro Ito and Anna Ishii in the roles of Kanchi and Satomi, along with Sho Kiyahara and Shizuka Ishibashi in the Eguchi Yosuke and Narimi Arimori roles.
Guess it's okay to update these old classics for a new generation of fans, but, as I mentioned in my review of SUITS, (the drama which reunited Suzuki and Oda for the first time in years), Honami Suzuki in the role of Satomi was absolutely one-of-a-kind and in my opinion can NEVER be duplicated!
Below: The original from 1991 wi Suzuki Honami and Oda Yuji

Ah, but I guess we'll see how Anna Ishii does....

That Was Mana Mikura

As you all know, the black comedy drama Anata No Ban Desu" was one of my favorite dramas of the past year, a show that I've watched repeatedly over and over again for its witty dialog and dark humor. Well, right now I am simply STUNNED to only realize now that the actress playing the hilariously hysterical neighbor Yoko Ishizaki was none other than child actress Mana Mikura,  the elder half (by 7 minutes) of the celebrity "ManaKana" Twins! WHAAA!
I had even been telling my friend about this "hilarious old lady" on the show, talking about the scene where neighbor Kitagawa wants to leave, but Ishizaki keeps trying to stop her.
The set up is thus: Everyone was supposed to write someone they wanted to die. But Ishizaki was too sweet and could't think of anyone she'd want killed. So she wrote her OWN name. And then, when the named people started dying, she was in a PANIC, thinking she was next!
She is desperate for everyone to stick together, but one by one the neighbors keep leaving, making her panic and do anything she can to stop them from leaving, including jumping onto the bed the movers are trying to carry off:
LOLOL
I had been looking  up the new drama "Pension: Koi Ga Momoiro" and while looking over cast, I saw Mana listed, and said, "Hey, Look! Mana Mikura of Futarikko is in this!" Clicking on her link, I was confused to see Anata No Ban Desu on her drama stats.
"Huh?" was my first thought. "She was in this drama?" I tried to think of all the young teenagers in the show but Mana didn't match any of them. Finally I looked at the cast correlation chart where I was SHOCKED to realize she was that "old lady" living next door!!!

I'm sorry, but when I think of Mana and Kana Mikura, THIS is what I will always see in my head:
