My recollection of Folder5 was pretty vague and i didn't remember them being too well-known. In fact, when I ran to youtube to look up old videos of the group, I was surprised to see that they had appeared on the Ishibashi/Nakai music show UTABAN... I didn't remember them being 'mainstream" enough. But there they were, and sure enough, one of the members sitting at that table was INDEED Hikari!!!
I wonder how popular Hikari was in this group. When I was re-watching this to get screencaps of her, I noticed that they very rarely panned to her, instead focusing mostly on the other girls. I think she only got one or two stand-alone camera shots, one of which is this one I took. Other than that, she was only shown in wide shots. And even in the dynamic of the group performing, it seems there is one main singer girl? and the rest are kind of like background dancer types, one of whom is Hikari.
Very unusual to see Hikari as a background member as I know her as this very charismatic actress!
As I watched her old Folder5 clips, all i could think was, "Hang in there, Hikari! Stardom is only a few years away!" LOL!
