While she works to the bone at work, her home living situation suffers. Her apartment is a mess, her possessions scattered, and her entire diet consists of fast foods.
Mei’s young sister Yui (Shuri) understands what her sister is up against, and so, for her 29th birthday, she gives her the gift…of a Housekeeper! Mei’s first interaction with said housekeeper doesn’t go as planned- Mei step into the apartment JUST as he’s picking up one of her brassieres and, thinking him an intruder/pervert, threatens him with a golf club to get out!
Thankfully Yui is there to explain the situation, and Mei is introduced to Shigino Nagisa (Nao Omori) , a much-sought-after housekeeper who is so efficient that he has recently stopped accepting customers! But thanks to a favor by Yui, he will be a Mei’s disposal for a 4 day trial period!
Mei doesn’t want the company of a strange old man in her apartment and balks at the situation, but little by little she finds out just how wonderful it is to haves someone cleaning, arranging and cooking for her. Even co-workers notice how well she’s been looking and suspect it’s a guy in her life!
Of course, the guy is the older Nagisa-san, and he may be just what she needs as she tackles her new job role, including dealing with the hot-shot agent Yuta Tadokoro (Koji Seto) from a rival company who has been sweeping up all her customers!
Well, we’ve seen this storyline a million times (Strangely, the story it reminds me most of is the Robert deniro/Anne Hathaway movie “The Intern”) but seems interesting so far, and i’d like to see where this is going.
PS: Wow, Tabe Mikako’s looking more and more like a lady in each drama she’s in- this is the MOST ladylike I’ve seen her!
And by the way, I have no idea who this"Natsuko" actress is playing the zany restaurant worker, but I thought it was Yao Pipi for the entire time...looks like kooky Eurasian starlets playing kooky characters are in!
