Now there's a Name I've Not Heard in a Long Time

HAHAHA, talk about your proverbial BLAST from the PAST- Subber Avallach on d-addicts has picked up "The Section Chief's Yakudoshi"( Kachosan no Yakudoshi) for subtitling, a J-drama I haven't thought of in DECADES!
While it was never a drama I watched, it was among the handful of dramas airing on KIKU when I was just first dipping my toes into Japanese shows with Abarenbo Shogun (era 1994-95), and I'd see the commercials for this,"The King's Restaurant" and "Night Embrace" among others!
Nice to see there are fans keeping the golden oldies alive for the new age!!

PS: Back when I was decorating cakes at my Father's Bakery as a teenager, one of the more popular requests was the "Yakudoshi" cake, which I depicted a tranquil Japanese sunset scene: A Cherry blossom tree and a Bamboo grove overlooking a lake with turtles and cranes with Mt. Fuji in the background. Always enjoyed making those (as opposed to things like Strawberry Shortcake and Smurfs, which were overwhelmingly popular things at the time, LOL!)!
