Notes On Fave Groups and Biases

Over at the Apink Forums, they were talking about favorite groups and biases, and someone else asked the question of what type tends to become your bias. This struck me as interesting because for the most part, my biases don't have all that much in common. Some are the "pretty" ones, some are the "funny" ones and some are the "talented" ones...all different reasons!
With that In mind I thought I'd delve further into the subject on my blog about just what reasons and motivations have made these gals my numero uno members in each respective group!

APink: Chorong
I would only be repeating myself if I was to rehash the recent obsession I've been having over APink and their adorably mumbling leader Chorong, so I'll just leave it as that. One thing I WILL say is that I'm grateful for Apink News is that without it, I would NEVER have gotten to know how fun and eccentric she is! There is only so much you can learn about a member's personality through interviews and performances, but once the cameras follow them offstage you get to see a side of them that is different and often times intriguing and hilarious, and that was CERTAINLY the case with Choronngie!

4Minute: Gayoon
Gayoon was the first member of 4Minute I remembered seeing when I first saw the video for their awesome song "I My Me Mine", but strangely enough she didn't become my favorite member til I began watching their reality series "Travelmaker". At first I only noticed  Jihyun and her gorgeous ladylike looks, but sure enough as time went on, it was Gayoon who once again came to the forefront! And MAN, can she sing!

Kara: SeungYeon
My beloved Hamtaro! When I first fell in love with KARA, my eyes gravitated towards luscious Hara and her drop-dead looks, but once I began enjoying their videos and variety show appearances, it was Seungyeon that won my heart, especially during the "Pretty Girl" promotions, ye gads, was she the finest idol out there!!! Just the right amount of cuteness and sass!
Rainbow: Woori
There were quite a few girls that I fell in love with thanks to the daily routine of seeing them every night watching "Invincible Youth", and dear Woori as the fun-loving pixie was the first one to capture my heart with her cute and mischievous ways! Even now when I see her she still retains that loud and carefree attitude, and despite getting a shag cut that I would normally abhor, she remains what I consider one of the prettiest idols out there!

T-ara: Hyomin
Hyomin was another girl I loved on Invincible Youth, watching her antics as the adorable "folding screen" girl (who was always trying her very best to make a name for herself on the show FILLED with terrific characters) showed a different side to the girl I was used to seeing as the sultry sex kitten in T-ara's stage performances! By the time I saw her on Running Man, I realized she was quite playful as well! Hyomin is one idol who ALWAYS knocks me out with her gorgeous looks every time she makes a comeback- so damn FINE!

Brown Eyed Girls: Narsha
And of course, i couldn't talk about Invincible Youth without mentioning Brown Eyed Girls' Narsha, who, as the big-hearted and charismatic farm girl, really became the heart of Season One, her scenes (especially the ones where she visited the elders) really touched me and has stayed with me! And naturally, the love I had for her carried over into her musical side and watching her vamp her way through BEG's breathless performances makes me realize why all the guy guests on Invincible Youth were falling all over themselves to keep up with her!

Secret: Hyosung
As with the other Invincible Youth girls, the first girl out of Secret I liked was Sunhwa and her cute "Blank Paper" image, but once I started getting into Secret, it was their resident "bagel girl" Hyosung that captivated me with her voice, pretty features and ultra-curvy body! And from her variety show guest appearances on shows like Weekly Idol and Beatles Code, I realized she was witty and funny as heck, too! Such a winning package!

Afterschool: Lizzy
Full disclosure here that although Lizzy has always been my bias in Afterschool, in recent months I must admit a slight shift over to her fellow bandmate Uee, nonetheless for the sake of this list I'll still give it up for Lizzy, whom I've always had sort of "possessive" feeling for, (ever since first falling for her in Running Man) which makes me always keep an eye on her during performances and interviews, thinking to all around,  "That's MINE, don't Touch!" LOL!. Lizzy was to one who taught me the meaning of what it was like to be the total "Busan Girl" long before APink's Eunji was breaking my heart!

2NE1: Bommie
I'm not sure what I was expecting from the powerful main vocallist of 2NE1 when I began watching their show "2NE1 TV, but the last thing I expected was to find someone so doggone cute, dizzy and ENTERTAINING! From the very first episode Bom was stealing all the scenes for me, whether it be her vying for attention from the other girls, getting into klutsy situations with the boss, or her hysterical hijinks with her beloved corn!!! Who would have ever thought such an imposing figure could be so LOVEABLE?!

SISTAR: Hyolyn
Well, the reasons I love Hyolyn are pretty apparent by just a cursory glance at SISTAR's performances- she's got the looks, the moves AND the voice, at least in MY opinion! Though a bit put-off by her stand-offish vibe, once I got past that, I realized what a groovy (and down to earth) gal she ACTUALLY was! And that scratchy speaking voice of hers sends me to Heaven as well!

f(x): Luna
The fist time I saw Luna was on an early episode of Running Man, and my impression was that she was very nice, sweet girl. Later I heard that VOICE of hers and got promptly BLOWN AWAY- really, from the get go she's been one of my all-time favorite K-pop vocals! It was on the reality show "f(x) Koala" that I began loving her gentle and caring personality, and it was during her "Electric Shock" promotions that I realized she was a babe as well!! The total package experience!

Dal Shabet: Jiyul
The thing that captivated me about Dal Shabet's Jiyul more than her gorgeous looks was how spunky and playful she could be on the variety shows I watched, and as I got to know her more, found out how caring she was towards her fellow members, and when she spoke English (!) with that lilting voice, I just fell head over heels for her!

 Girls' Generation: Jessica
Beginning with the idol who started it all for me way back in 2011 when I first saw Jessica in a VITA500 commercial and fell in love with her sassy look- then later when I finally began knowing the girls and finding she was not only aterrific singer, but also a one-of-a-kind "cool beauty"-- luscious but very quiet and introverted, a demeanor truly earning her nickname "Ice Princess"!
