Kahogo No Kahoko 終わり

Kahogo No Kahoko just wrapped up and what a sweet, touching and heartwarming show it was! The story of the "Overprotected" girl who learns to break out of her confined, pampered way of living and blossom into an outgoing and assertive young woman had me charmed throughout its 10 episode run

and the conclusion was as satisfying as could be!

 The perfect balance of seriousness and silliness was perfect, and not since Kisarazu Cat's Eye did I find myself laughing so hard even as I was crying my eyes out! The balance of Kahoko's innocent ineptness and her unwavering love of her family made every scene great with her childish and yet powerful and moving dialog as she mended the problems of her loved ones.

This was the first drama I've seen actress Mitsuki Takahata in (well, at least that I remember her in) and I am looking forward to seeing what she does next...I'll probably have a hard time getting used to her not being this adorable naive character, though! Because right now, Mitsuki Takahata IS Kahoko Nemoto!
