Wacky is As Wacky Does: The Nutty Hijinks of “Jikou Keisatsu Hajimemashita”

 If you’d seen movies like “Instant Numa” “Adrift In Tokyo” and “Turtles Swim Faster than Expected” by director Miki Satoshi, you’d know you were in for a surreal, over-the-top CRAZY situation drama, and that’s EXACTLY what you got with the wacky police comedy “ Jikou Keisatsu Hajimemashita”!

Starring Odagiri Joe and Kumiko Aso as the primary leads, the drama also features a whole SLEW of familiar faces as part of the enormous ensemble of eccentric Detectives!

One BIG draw, the drama features a rather impressive “Rogues Gallery” of villains, so far I've seen Koyuki...

...and even Mika Nakashima (!) as guest stars! 

Oh My, not since "Galileo" have we seen so much commendable cameos!

Truthfully gotta say that this show may be too wacky for even ME, and that’s saying something when you consider I loved the Becky comedy “Anna San No Omame”...But this drama seems to be TOO over-the-top as to be distracting! 

Like, half the time, I'm going, "WHAAAAA!" (much like most of the cast, it seems, LOL)

 We’ll see if we can get this drama to settle down a little.

PS: Really LOVED Instant Numa- it’s the movie that first introduced me to actress Kumiko Aso all those years ago and I really fell for her then… Still so darn pretty!!!
