As you know, I’d been recently obsessing over that ferris wheel ever since it helped me locate the Mizu No Hiroba Waterfront parkway, which I wrote about here. But, much to my confusion, when Risa and Osamu walked up to a sign, it said that they were in YOKOHAMA!
EH?? So, going back to Googlemaps, I typed in Yokohama, and immediately came up on the place where Osamu and Risa were:
....and then the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse that they eventually ran into!
Using the maps, I navigated up the street to that ferris wheel, and found it was the “Cosmoworld Amusement Park Ferris Wheel with Digital Clock!” WHAT, there are more than ONE of these huge-ass ferris wheels??? Who knew!
But WAIT, there’s MORE!
SO, the NEXT week I’m watching the latest episode of the Tabe Mikako drama “Kore de Keihi De Ochimasen”, and in a scene where Mikako is on the roof of her building, saw two brick warehouses that looked amazingly like the Red Brick Center Osamu and Risa ran into! Could Tabe Mikako be in the SAME DISTRICT as Osamu and Risa??
My deductions were confirmed in the next episode when I saw Mikako walking down the street...and that ferris wheel was RIGHT BEHIND HER!!!

And just to reassure me, when Mikako was back on the roof, they made a POINT of showing the ferris wheel behind her!!! So it WAS the same place!!!
Not only that, thanks to the buildings and oceanfronts, I was able to pinpoint the EXACT building Mikako Tabe was standing on as well....I simply followed the positioning on the brick warehouses and bridge and looked for a building with green and gold trim, and HEY! There it was!!
This building was called, simply enough, the “Yokohama Building”, and when I dropped down to street level, I saw the entrance and had to laugh...
...because this was the very building Mikako and company came out of each night:

And once I realized it, that ferris wheel showed up in all the next episodes of Kore de Keihi De Ochimasen, seen both at Night...
..and Day!
So now I knew that there were at least two of these huge Ferris Wheels to keep track of…and then guess what happened next? I got a DOUBLE WHAMMY:
In the latest episode of the Nana Seino drama "Shiro Demo Kuro Demonai Sekai de, Panda wa Warau", they shot scenes at BOTH Ferris Wheel locations!

Looks like ven Emi takei used the Cosmoworld Ferris Wheel as a backdrop in her drama Otenki Oneesan (complete with Red Brick Warehouse):
