A Slightly Spoilery Rant
Well, the final episode of the Miori Takimoto/ drama “Unmei Kara Hajimaru Koi” aired yesterday and I just finished watching it….
You know, after Episode 8’s horrible turn, I said to myself, “There’s no way they can have ANY kind of satisfactory ending after that twist”...And yet, I was surprised to find that, while Not a GREAT ending, the drama's conclusion was one I could live with….

You know, after Episode 8’s horrible turn, I said to myself, “There’s no way they can have ANY kind of satisfactory ending after that twist”...And yet, I was surprised to find that, while Not a GREAT ending, the drama's conclusion was one I could live with….
Although kind of abrupt (the cut was so sudden that I was SURE there was going to be more to the show after the credits), I remember thinking, “If they end the story here, that would be an okay ending that I would be satisfied with….” and indeed, it concluded right where I thought!
SO…I will give a nod to the show’s conclusion but will sit on rating the show overall for awhile. In a few months or maybe even years I can look back on this show and see if iUnmei Kara Hajimaru Koi has any re-watchability knowing how it will turn and how it will end.
A few people in forums have posited that there’s going to be a sequel to this drama and that would make a lot of sense considering how jarring the end was, but meh, how can they conclude it any better than how it ended? They would either just drag out the same conclusion, or (even worse) ignore the characters’ motivations and just say, “everything is good now and everyone forgives each other and everyone loves each other”…MAN that would be the WORST!!!!
Ah well, Aya Sato is still my favorite Miori Takimoto character, so I’ll always have to give thanks to that…
