Keita Shirakawa (Osamu Mukai) is a single Father raising his teeenage daughter Hitomi (Anna Yamada) alone since his wife Yukiko (Yukie Nakama) left them when Hitomi was only 5 years old.
A studious and talented girl who practices violin between School and Cram class, she is the light in Keita’s life, and he has put her priorities above all else. He feels they are extremely close and that there are no secrets she keeps from him.
But when he gets a mysterious call one day from a man telling Keita that he has kidnapped his daughter , he will learn that there are sides to Hitomi that he doesn’t know about.
The voice on the phone tells Keita that unless he does what he says, he will kill Hitomi. And what he wants Keita to do is locate his ex-wife who has gone suspiciously missing some days back.
As Keita hasn’t seen or heard from Yuikiko in years, he has no idea how to find her, but with the help of his friend Nanako (Risa Naka), he begins digging for clues, and as he learns more things and talks to more people, he discovers that no one is who they appear to be on the surface, and at the heart of it is a cover up that some are ready to kill to keep hidden.
At three episodes of this drama so far and so far it is slow going. Still not sure who anyone is supposed to really be, but I guess that’s how they want it!
Gotta laugh that when they saw this drama FULL of shady characters of dubious goals and morals, the Casting Crew ran out and got people like Yukie Nakama, Shiro Sano and Atsuro Watabe, all of whom have made their CAREERS playing those suspicious villain types, LOL!
