I mentioned before in my review of the Suteki Na Sen Taxi Special how, after years of roles like her characters in Keiji Zero and Career, I had forgotten how cute she could be, but Ho-LE-To-LEE-Do, her role of Aya just transcends- she is so disarmingly precious that her scenes leave me absolutely wibbly!
Somehow, I just love this bespectacled look of Miori- when I see her in glasses, I see the “character” of Aya as a real person, and even when they did the tried and true cliche of her becoming a dazzling beauty when she took off her glasses (and she was dazzling indeed)…
…it was still the shy and mousey Aya that brought me home!
This drama is still airing and there’s always the worry that this drama will have some awful ending and ruin everything for me, but for right now, this is a drama that, when I’m at work, cheers me up and excites me knowing that there’s a new episode at home waiting for me to watch…and that’s all I can really ask for!
