It has been only two years since I was first dazzled by actress Fuka Koshiba thru her manic role of otaku Kano Nakamura in “Tokusatsu Ga Ga Ga”, and since then she has steadily risen up my list of Fave actresses with role after role of great drama characters, and she finally grabbed a WELL deserved “Crush Of The Day” Status for her role of the adorkable Ai Sato in the fun “Kanojo wa Kirei Datta~She Was Pretty”!
Despite her fright wig shamble of hair and bad outfits in the first half of the show, it didn’t take long for Fuka’s natural charm came out and smote me like the dickens with her spazzy demeanor, zany facial reactions and OH! That DISARMING smile of hers!!! I tell you, NO ONE can scrunch her nose like she does, an ABSOLUTE killer to melt even the HARDEST of hearts!Like main character Sosuke, I was falling for her even with her in her “dowdy” phase, and WOWOW, when she decides to get serious about her job and GLOW UP with styling, make-up and fashionable wardrobe (with help from best friend Risa), like Sosuke himself, my Jaw HIT THE FLOOR!!! Christ, I had forgotten how pretty Fuka was, how pretty she could be if she really FELT like it! But BOY, she was just KILLING it, not only with that frizzy hair tamed down to a svelte style, but her facial features, when accented with makeup, holy GOOSH, she was a HEART stopper!!!I had mentioned in other dramas like “Jimi ni Sugoi~ Koetsu Garu Kono Etsuko” or “Survival Wedding”, when a drama is built around a Fashion Magazine, it gives them a built-in excuse to drape their stars in the cutest and fiercest of outfits while at work, and it is a treat to see what Fuka is going to be wearing in every new scene!Bright, colorful and unusual, the outfits she was given made her stand out, but at the end of the day, it’s still Fuka’s disarming SMILE that is her crowning feature- even when portrayed with no makeup, her charisma radiates and you KNOW you’re seeing someone special!
Such a cutie, I can't even.....
Just loved Kanojo no Kirei Datta, this makes the fifth drama in a row that I’ve loved from Fuka, staring with Tokusatsu Ga Ga Ga as the otaku-centric KanoBishoku Tantei Akechi Goro as the sweet bento-making Ichigo “Kobayashi-1” KobayashiThe addled Mio Meguro in the spirited (literally) Youkai Share Houseand the gentle and innocent Mokomi Shimizu in Mokomi: Kanojo Chotto Hendakedo!Even in her smaller roles in dramas like Hayako Sensei and Beshari Gurashi she shone! From the MINUTE I saw her in Tokusatsu Ga Ga Ga In KNEW she had that something special, and it’s SO heartwarming to see that everyone seems to agree! Such fun and imaginative drama roles, we can only wait to see what she comes up with NEXT!Posted by zdorama @ zdorama.blogspot.com
