Buchou to Shachiku no Koi Modokashii

Mayumi Maruyama (Yurika Nakamura) is a highly efficient workaholic OL for a company manufacturing Hotel amenities who is always overloaded with work from other employees at the cost of her personal time, the quality of her meals and even sleep! However, this girl is a self-confessed “Company Slave Employee” who LOVES the challenge of her job and the satisfaction she gets from overcoming its hurdles!
Though she is saddled with the paperwork of seemingly her entire floor, all she needs is the energy of one power bar to get her through the day!
Indeed, she not only is forced to stay overtime long after everyone else is gone, but actually craves it, much to the irritation of Iwayama (Tomomi Maruyama) of Personnel who is constantly on Mayumi to stop putting in overtime and get out of the office!
Being chased out, she brushes with the section boss Teiji Osamu (Takezai Terunosuke) who scolds her for constantly working overtime, even as she harbors secret animosity towards HIM for always skipping out exactly on time while his underlings stay back!

This didn’t always use to be this way. Back when she had first started, she was trained under Osamu when he was still in marketing, and they both relished staying back and working overtime to get things done.
But since his promotion, he’s been stingy with his time and has always left right on the dot.
It all comes to a head one night at accompany get-together where Mayumi is seated next to Osamu. Having had one oolong highball too many (LOL), Mayumi is properly drunk at decides to let her section chief HAVE it, telling him how pissed she is about him being so stingy with his time and how he NEVER stays late.
Osamu is, to say the least, bemused by his kohai’s sudden brash outburst, and invites her to continue her tirade at another bar. Mayumi takes him up on his offer, drinking even MORE...
…and wakes up the next morning...
... in BED with her Section Chief!
Fleeing the apartment, Mayumi is at first in a daze about what has transpired….but with a shy grin, decides that she likes it after all!
But how will she ever have a relationship with someone who is such an opposite to her work ethics?
Yeah, I know, I know, it's all entirely cliched and it's a plot that has been used over and OVER again, but for me, it's all about Yurika! I’ve been loving ever since her (still awesome) role as the monotone Shiori “Robo” Saginomiya in Joshi Kousei Mudazukai, and Buchou to Shachiku no Koi Modokashii  seems like another FUN one for her, though she DOES seems like she’s playing the EXACT same character from her last drama “Chijo No Kiss” LOL
