When we first meet Hana Fujiwara (Umika Kawashima), she is soaking at an onsen, trying to get over getting dumped by her boyfriend. Her best friend Mizuki is there to cheer her up and listen to her woes as best friends do...(Nana Asakawa, in all her Bra-bustin’ glory!)
When Hana’s phone goes missing, it is then that she crosses paths with the blunt but thoughtful Yosuke Narita (Jin Shirasu). When he hears that her phone is gone, he asks if she’d told the front desk about it. Hana says that she didn’t want to bother the clerk, which infuriates Yosuke. He goes up to the clerk and logs a lost item claim. Getting her number, he calls it, in hopes it will turn up.
At that moment, his friend Ayumu Ichinose (Akihisa Shiono) happens to be walking past the ladies room where he hears the phone ring. Stepping in to pick it up, he is met by a completely shocked Mizuki wondering why there’s a guy in the girls bathroom. Fortunately, he answers the phone and it is all explained away with laughs.

But Yosuke isn’t happy. He chides Hana for not asking for help right away, saying its indecisive people like her that make things hard. Well, Hana is through with these guys, but Mizuki, seeing these guys as potential dates, invites them all for drinks later that day, much to Hana’s chagrin. That afternoon they meet up, and, through conversation, find out that they’re all getting over romance experiences of some kind.
But the more they talk, the more Yosuke ses how introverted Hana is. Wanting her to become stronger, he firmly scolds her, but she misunderstands and leaves in tears.
That should really be the end of it, but the next day, voracious Mizuki calls Hana at her job (ad designer for sweets, hmmm, shades of Kono Koi here, LOL) and tells her she HAS to contact those guys, if not for herself then PLEASE, for her desperate friend!
Mizuki drags Hana to the meet, but one look at the guys and Hana leaves. She’s not gotten far when her lack of sleep and fatigue catches up to her. And it’s there that Yosuke meets her again. Trying to be gentler with her, he takes her to rest at a hotel, where Hana finally sees the kinder side of him. And as Mizuki and Ayumu consummate their relationship in another hotel, the innocent Hana looks over at Yosuke with new affection…
Hmmm, don’t know where this drama is going, at first seemed like a regular girl romance story, but MAN, it is really sexually suggestive, especially in the case of Nana Asakawa (when we first see her showing off in that lacy brassiere it should have been a hint, little did we know she’s be seen strippin’ it ALL off!), making me think it’s more of a late-night show?
Not really a fan of these tempestuous romance dramas but after seeing Umika playing the little sister type characters for years now (in shows like Bloody Monday and Kaibutsu-Kun), I’ve been curious to see how she does helming a grown-up show of her own show, and since the drama’s only 7 episodes, can’t hurt to stick around and see where it goes….
