Absolutely loved Ayami Nakajo in her role as the loveable spazz Haruka Tachibana in Hakui No Senshi and have been curious to see her in more stuff, and here we have the winsome fantasy drama “Enmadou Sara no Suiri Kitan”, starring Nakajo as the titular Sara, the gatekeeper of Enma Hall, the limbo between Heaven and Hell where you end up when you die!
It is up to Sara’s judgement which door you take, the path to Heaven or the Path to Hell, but if you’re savvy, this Goddess loves a challenge, and will give you a second crack at life if you can win at her game!
Unlucky but likeable Shuta Hamamoto (Yuta Koseki) is a manager at a chicken processing plant who gets hit on the head in the freezer by a falling box and dies there. 
When he comes to, he is in the realm of Sara, who informs him that he has died and is selected to go to Heaven.
At first Shuta defeatedly accepts his fate and is about to go through the Heaven Door. But when Sara inadvertently lets it slip that Shuta's death was NOT an accident but a murder, he begs her to let him return to life and fix things!
She offers him this challenge; review his memory and figure out by himself who his killer was, and if he is correct, she will grant him a stay of his execution and return him to the waking world.
But there is a price: if he succeeds, he gets to live again, But if he FAILS, he will be sent…TO HELL!
And so it is up to Shuta's memory to sort through his past and decipher the puzzle of his murder, with his eternal future at stake!
This drama reminded me not just a little of the recent Masahiro Matsuoka drama SHIYAKUSHO where purgatory is portrayed more like a cold Tax Office than a raging inferno, and they’ve even got Yuina Kuroshima in a guest spot for episode 3!!
Should be a FUN one!
